Yup! That's me! If you will remember a couple of months ago I told you we were taking our old garage and making it into an office/sewing room/family room. That meant we had to build a new garage. Well, we are confirmed do-it-your-selfers. Right now I'm in the process of putting the third (and I hope last) coat of mud on the seams in the new garage. I'm not very fast at it. I guess I shouldn't complain though. At my age, I should just be thankful that I can climb up that ladder and get the job done. At any rate because of all the work I'm doing in the garage, this newsletter will be relatively short.
I am even helping with the siding. Actually, it would be fun if it wasn't so hot here in Iowa. This past week we had heat warnings almost every day.
Black Hills Quilters Guild
A huge thank you to Celia Bradley (left in the photo to the right) and the Black Hills Quilters Guild. My husband and I had a wonderful vacation in the Black Hills. The culmination of that trip was a workshop and trunk show for this quilt guild in Rapid City, SD. We had a wonderful time with this attentive and warm guild. Thanks so much gals. You made my trip.
I want to share with you the photos of the blocks that reader's have sent to me this month.
Delberta Trevithick of Anchorage, Alaska sent the photo to the right. It shows her 11th block.
Great job Delberta.
Denise of Ontario, Canada shared the 2 blocks above. Love those purples Denise. Just beautiful.
"Pushin' Up Spring" Block 15
Here is the next block in "Pushin' Up Spring". I probably should have had the 16th block for you as well, but I think I spent too much time on a ladder this month. I'll have the last block for you next month.
